The current best strategy is "hibernation": rely on rabbit meats and safe water from boiling snow, eat then sleep, wake up and repeat.
And I've found out that we can almost survive in endless days we want. We can calculate it based on knowing whether the vital items are renewable or not. I know some guys made it at least 2000 days(mine is only ~180, but I've got bored fast and stop it wait until next update release), but obviously we don't need to play practically to know the highest survival days possibly. So I think about list the renewable items, especial the vital items. I've started to calculate how long the players can survive theoretically, in this current Alpha state.
